Crossing the finish line of my first Vendée Globe was never the end of the story – it was only the beginning!
We are now preparing for our second Vendée Globe campaign - one that promises to be bigger, better, stronger, and faster. Over the past few months, the team and I have been working hard behind the scenes: we’ve been shortlisting some incredible new foiling yachts, identifying our ideal team base, and assembling a world-class team of experts who can bring our vision to life.
This campaign will run from 2026-2029 and include two major events: The Ocean Race 2027, a round-the-world race sailed as a team, and The Vendée Globe 2028, the ultimate solo-racing challenge, once again flying the flag for Switzerland on the global stage.

COMPETING WITH PURPOSE IN THE WORLD'S TOUGHEST OFFSHORE RACES

Offshore racing takes courage, perseverance, resilience and passion to compete.

THE VENDÉE GLOBE
The Vendee Globe is widely considered to be the World's toughest ocean race. Sailing solo, non-stop and unassisted around the world through some of the most inhospitable areas of the planet, the race is often called 'The Everest of The Seas".
In 2025, Oliver Heer became the first Swiss-German skipper to successfully complete this extreme challenge. This was Ollie's first attempt and he finished in 99 days.
This is just the beginning of our story.
Oliver Heer Ocean Racing are delighted to announce our intention to build on the knowledge and experience gained in the first campaign, developing a bigger, better, stronger, faster campaign focussed on competing in the Vendée Globe 2028.
