ACHIEVING A CLIMATE-CONSCIOUS VENDÉE GLOBE CAMPAIGN

To achieve our goal to deliver a climate-conscious campaign, ClimatePartner, a leading solution provider for climate action, will help us calculate and reduce emissions generated and compensate for any remaining emissions through internationally recognised climate projects.

HOW IT WORKS

CARBON FOOTPRINT

We aim to reduce our carbon footprint before we offset emissions. ClimatePartner provides us a set of guidelines to do this.

CLIMATE CONTRIBUTION

Together with ClimatePartner we address unabated emissions by supporting internationally recognised climate projects.

COMPLETE TRANSPARENCY

Our climate action is confirmed by the ClimatePartner label and fully transparent by our unique ID-Tracking.

CARBON CONTRIBUTION PROJECTS

Where we cannot reduce or avoid emissions, we contribute by supporting internationally recognised climate projects. These make a decisive contribution to combating global warming by demonstrably saving greenhouse gases. In addition, they promote sustainable development in the project countries, measured by the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

WIND ENERGY AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO COAL-FIRED POWER PLANTS

South Africa’s Northern Cape Province's, 96 wind turbines produce an average of 439,600 MWh of electricity per year, feeding into the country's grid.

CONTRIBUTION TO SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS (SDGs)

ClimatePartner’s carbon contribution projects are all aligned with the United Nations Sustainable development goals.
